I loved that clip...were you doing a seance or warding away evil spirits LOL You got some groovy funky African moves...that clip was like a children's music show from hell ;)

And that Iconcrash meets Blair Witch was really spooky...if we don't hear from you in the next few days we're sending out the IC rescue team LOL

I bet you could scare the bejesus out of someone just with a very naughty spooky practical joke LOL

I adore you and your creative wicked mad man ways!
Keep on making your magick

truly eerie but lovable! ;)

I am back in Helsinki now and I think I am still alive. Wasn't that creative weekend really. I guess i should try to rest for a day or two now. it is just so fucking boring!

Jaani, if you want something interesting, then download the newest NIN album "The Slip" at http://theslip.nin.com/. Trent-setä on kiltti ja antaa lahjoja kuuntelijoilleensa ^^

Anu kirjoitti...

Just listened to it the other day. Great moods.

As long as we are discussing new music I also give the new Portishead album "Third" two thumbs up ...

Check that out peeps!

Also if anyone wants to come to New Orleans in October NIN will be playing the 10th annual VooDoo fest ... that's some cool shit!

sabena kirjoitti...

...will also be playing in July at the Pemberton Music Festival 2008 here in BC!

Turtzik kirjoitti...

Believe me, if I only had the money... ^^

sabena kirjoitti...

Unfortunately I will not be attending either...will be in Europe for the time being.

Crap ... I just realized that everything named down here is voodoo something or other. WTF!!

Maybe I should get it tattooed on my ass ... not WTF ... voodoo ... jeeze.

What a way to beat a dead horse!

Beth kirjoitti...

I think you should get 'WTF' tattood as well. ;)

Maybe Erica and I will get 'OMG WTF' when we go see the Golden God together . . .

-jaani- kirjoitti...

Tonite we should continue at Dynasty studios again. I miss that place already. I have spent there more time last months than in home...

sabena kirjoitti...

I just realized that Jaani’s darbuka performance somewhat fits quite similarly to a faint yet rapid drum beat heard between the 1st and 2nd chorus in Chains Around My Heart.
I wonder if it’s the same instrument...

I very much enjoy the fusion of world beats!
…displays open mindedness and the acceptance of multiculturalism… ;)

-jaani- kirjoitti...

it was not darbuka in the video. i played bongos. in chains around my heart i played djembe.

sabena kirjoitti...

Ah...of course! Yet all three are of African origin, however the bongos have been widely adapted by the South Americans.
All the same…the African influence has been very well incorporated in c.a.m.h. !!

Djembe eh? ...well done Jaani, you’re quite the talent!
And if I might add an accomplished bongocero!! ^^

-jaani- kirjoitti...

I guess it is impossible to hide our African roots =)
